TRAINEE MANAGER HOSPITALITY (M/F/D)
As Trainee Manager Hospitality (m/f/d) at KATE & TOM'S DELI VIENNA you help us – with your passion for lived hospitality, your distinct interest in management as well as leadership – to achieve our mission and to enthuse our guests over the beauty and diversity of plant-based cuisine by creating a unique experience for them.

In the course of the trainee programme you will learn step by step everything a
Tasks and expectations:
- independent commercial and operational management of the restaurant
- shared responsibility with the Team Leads (BOH & FOH) for opening and closing of the restaurant
- takeover of all administrative tasks (e.g. creating duty rosters, maintaining maintenance tasks, conducting training courses, etc.)
- planning, coordination and ordering of goods (ingredients, uniforms, office accessories, gift and menu cards etc.)
- joint responsibility for checking the quantity and perfect quality of all deliveries and ingredients - together with the Team Leads - as well as making complaints in the event of deviations
- daily, legally compliant cash register closing and management / control of the time / wage account
- measurement of the daily performance (processes and costs) as well as taking suitable measures to improve the financial performance of the restaurant
- responsibility for the control, planning and compliance with the current budget including reporting
- preparation of financial reports and reporting on performance metrics
- control and compliance with specified processes in order to ensure the optimal operation of the restaurant
- communication of new implementations (menu, processes, events, etc.) to the Team Leads BOH and FOH
- overall responsibility for the constant maintenance of cleanliness and hygiene in the entire restaurant (kitchen, guest room and toilet rooms)
- constant enforcement of safe and hygienic working methods as well as reporting of accidents
- responsibility for maintaining food & service quality
- responsibility for complaint management – ensuring guest satisfaction and resolving complaints in the interest of the guest
- management, motivation and leadership of the restaurant team – together with the team leads (BOH and FOH)
- support of the team leads (BOH and FOH) and the team in daily dealings with guests as well as at events, to ensure excellent quality and service
- greeting and saying goodbye to guests and regulars, with undivided attention, as if these were friends
- live hospitality and have positive conversations with guests so that they can have a more personal experience each time they join us
- excellent service in accordance with our standards: advising the guest on food, drinks & wine as well as information about ingredients and possible allergens, serving and clearing of the tables, attention to any wishes, preparation and service of drinks and wine etc.

Requirements:
- high identification with the KATE & TOM brand
- respect for the plant-based cuisine (aka 'vegan cusine')
- high self-motivation and high quality standards
- completed training (any vocational school, grammar school, high school, university of applied sciences, university or similar)
- work experience is an advantage (ideally in a similar position)
- absolute willingness to learn in order to acquire necessary/new knowledge
- high adaptability and dedication
- serving and clearing of large quantities of food, plates and glasses
- very good knowledge of German, spoken and written
- very good knowledge of English, spoken and written
- lived hospitality and collegiality
- basic knowledge of MS Office
- leadership skills (coaching, guidance and motivation of team members)
